The Perfect Walk

Our Christian walk is not about living a perfect life, but rather a life following the Perfect One. We may feel like that is basic information as believers, but we have to honestly ask ourselves how many times we try to make it more about us living out a perceived life of Christian perfection, forgetting that it is a daily part of our walk to have God working that out through us.
In Colossians 3:17 we are told, “And whatever you do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him.” We can read that as just us making sure to point it back to God whenever we do something “good” for Him, but we can miss the mark when we think it is on us to work this out and forget Who it is through.
All that we do for God needs to be with God. He is the One leading us, guiding us, and working through us. It doesn’t mean we don’t play our part, but we need to make sure we are working out what God has guided us to do. We need to take the pressure off ourselves to live out some form of a “perfect” life by our own strength, and always remember that God wants to be the strength in our lives, and we are the vessels that He wants to accomplish this through.
Have a blessed week and ask God to strengthen you for each and every day!
